.pick()

A function that takes an object and creates a new object containing only the specified keys from the original object.

Syntax​

#fs.scripts.lib().pick(obj, keys);

Parameters​

obj​

The original object.

keys​

The keys from the original object that we should create the new object with.

Return​

Returns an object.

Example​

  const l = #fs.scripts.lib();
  const my_obj = {
    vehicles: ["train", "plane", "automobile"],
    places: ["diner", "hotel", "concert venue"],
    payment_types: ["GC", "bits", "I.O.U."],
    favorite_food: ["key", "char_count_v1", "lime"]
  };
  const keys_to_pick = ["payment_types", "favorite_food"];

  return l.pick(my_obj, keys_to_pick);
